http://latimesblogs....cott-death.html

it is a very sad way to go to Posted Image it seems he committed suicide by jumping off a bridge at 9:48 p.m.. the LAPD found the body in the river under the bridge with a suicide letter found in his car. For those that don't know tony scott is the brother of ridley scott and just like his brother being well known in the sci fi genre tony was well known in the action drama directing movies like top gun, Beverly Hills Cop II , and man on fire. I give mister Ridley scott my condolences of losing a brother and losing a well respected member of the directing community

Very much a shame. He was sort of overshadowed by his brother but definitely a talent in his own right.

P.S. Note was at his office and the link makes an apology for getting that wrong. Just FYI.

What makes a man want to kill himself? Is it a lost loved one? divorce? death of friends? is it because you are depressed? or is it money problems? you can only live life once and you cant waste it dwelling on the past. if your depressed try to lighten yourself up think about what really matters such as loved ones.

to me a good way to die is in bed surrounded by loved ones or in your sleep.

I give my condolences to you Ridley Scott.

could be a richard cory situation. some people simply have a temperament that makes them prone to suicide. he was 68, had lived a full life, so i don't see it as a huge waste at all.

Tony will be missed. True Romance was one of my most favorite gangster movies ever.
